This week Mum1 received her new training goals and agreed to them! She was distracted at the time by the arrival of her mochaccino with three marshmallows though, so I can’t be entirely sure that she was fully aware of what she was agreeing to but that is not important as these ‘meetings’ are really just a formality anyway and Mum1 has agreed to:
1. Stop ordering mochaccinos with or without marshmallows. A mochaccino is not coffee and is embarrassing for others sitting at the same table.
2. Ride at least 100kms per week until I say she has to do more.
3. Ride the 50 or 110k (depending on how I’m feeling when I register her) event in Tour of the Bay in October.
Mum6 has completed her trial of the bikeonmums staff bike and found it is too big for her. We had hoped that her legs would grow a few centimetres but that has not been the case. A new, correctly sized bike has been ordered. Unfortunately it does not have DT Swiss rims (see photo) which happen to be Mum6’s rim of choice but she says she can live with the disappointment.
